More than just a painting project.

Brush Up is our biggest annual volunteer event and fundraiser to support older adults, immigrants and refugees, and hardworking families with low to moderate incomes across the Omaha metro. Over two days in August, hundreds of volunteers are mobilized to paint and refresh the exteriors of homes in need. More than just a painting project, Brush Up restores pride, transforms neighborhoods and helps homeowners thrive.

Brush Up is a demonstration of community care and connection. The homeowners we serve are often aging, living on fixed incomes or navigating homeownership for the first time as immigrants or refugees. By sponsoring, volunteering or donating, you are helping prevent deterioration, improve safety and show our neighbors they are seen, valued and supported.

Participate in Brush Up

Individuals, families, corporate teams, civic groups and community groups are welcome—no painting experience necessary. With flexible participation options on both Friday and Saturday, volunteers choose the day that works best for their team. We provide paint, materials and on-site guidance to ensure a safe and impactful experience. Online registration is quick and easy, and early sign-ups help us coordinate and assign home projects efficiently.
