Our Programs

Building and preserving our community.

At HomeWoven, we maintain and develop affordable housing through three program areas: Home Preservation, Home Affordability and Workforce Development. Home Preservation helps low-income homeowners stay safely in their homes through essential repairs, accessibility upgrades and energy-efficient improvements. Home Affordability focuses on creating new, affordable homeownership opportunities for first-time buyers by purchasing, rehabilitating and selling homes, as well as building quality homes. Workforce Development supports housing preservation and development by training the next generation of skilled residential construction professionals.

Home Preservation

Our trained professionals assist low-income homeowners—especially older adults, immigrant and refugee families and other hardworking households—to live safely and independently in their homes. At no cost to the homeowner, we provide essential repairs, accessibility modifications and energy-efficient upgrades that address health and safety hazards and enhance overall home livability. Our work helps prevent displacement, preserve affordable housing and support dignity, independence and multigenerational stability.

Home Affordability

Our team creates new pathways to homeownership for low- to moderate-income families. In addition to purchasing, rehabbing and selling existing homes, we also build quality, energy-efficient homes, making homeownership more accessible and affordable. By revitalizing properties and expanding inventory, we help our neighbors achieve long-term housing stability and lay the groundwork for building generational wealth. This program plays a vital role in addressing our region’s homeownership gap and promoting neighborhood revitalization.

Workforce Development

We have established a partnership with the Latino Center of the Midlands to address the growing need for skilled labor in residential construction while creating career pathways. Through this collaboration, Siembra Construcción interns receive hands-on training, mentorship and exposure to home repair and construction trades. Interns work alongside experienced professionals on real projects, gaining valuable skills that prepare them for long-term employment in the industry. By investing in this program, we strengthen our capacity to preserve and create affordable housing but also contribute to a more diverse, prepared and resilient local workforce.
