Brush Up 2025
At HomeWoven, we believe that every brushstroke can change more than just the look of a home—it can transform a community. This August, our neighbors came together for Brush Up 2025, and the results were truly inspiring.
With the support of more than 30 generous sponsors and donors, the energy of 425 volunteers, and the dedication of teams who braved the August heat, we were able to paint the exteriors of 24 homes across Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Together, volunteers contributed more than 2,500 hours of service over two days—an incredible investment of time and care into our community.
The Power of Partnership
This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of Dr. C. C. & Mabel L. Criss Memorial Foundation, whose $50,000 matching gift fueled Brush Up 2025 and doubled the impact of community support. Their investment ensured that more homes could be refreshed, more families could feel secure, and more neighborhoods could shine with renewed pride.
We are deeply grateful to our presenting sponsors, Diamond Vogel Paints, the Lozier Foundation, and Hans Heating & Air, as well as every team sponsor, donor, and community partner who believed in this mission and helped us bring it to life. Volunteers Who Showed Up and Showed Heart
The true heart of Brush Up 2025 was found in the volunteers who rolled up their sleeves, especially under the intense heat of Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 16. Their resilience and teamwork brought fresh color and care to each home, reminding us of what’s possible when neighbors stand together.
Every ladder lifted, every paintbrush dipped, and every wall refreshed represents more than just a coat of paint. It symbolizes stability, dignity, and compassion for the older adults and families we serve.
A Canvas of Community Impact
This year’s Brush Up is more than a statistic—it’s a story of people coming together. With 425 volunteers, over 30 sponsors, 24 homes transformed, and more than 2,500 volunteer hours, Brush Up 2025 created a canvas of community pride and connection.
From the homeowners who can now enjoy safer, brighter homes to the volunteers who experienced the joy of service, the ripple effects of this event will continue long after the paint has dried.
At HomeWoven, we are honored to lead this work, but our neighbors, partners, and friends truly power it. Together, we are building stronger, more vibrant communities where every person has the chance to thrive in a home they can cherish.
Here’s to the power of partnership, the generosity of donors, and the unwavering dedication of volunteers. Brush Up 2025 painted more than houses, painted hope.
