HomeWoven in the community.
Our work in the Omaha area reaches many different people in many different neighborhoods. On our InterWoven blog, we share news of our work, our events and stories of the positive impact that we create in our community.
HomeWoven Celebrates Grand Opening of Renovated Affordable Housing Headquarters
HomeWoven, Omaha’s leading affordable housing nonprofit formerly known as Project Houseworks, has opened its newly renovated headquarters at 2316 South 24th Street. For more than 30 years, HomeWoven has strengthened housing stability across the Omaha–Council Bluffs metro by helping older adults and working families stay safely housed through home repairs, accessibility updates, and affordable homeownership opportunities. The new headquarters expands programs like the Home Preservation Program, Home Affordability Program, and Greenlining Fund Home Repair Services while serving as a community hub for learning, workforce development, and connection.

With the support of more than 30 generous sponsors and donors, the energy of 425 volunteers, and the dedication of teams who braved the August heat, we were able to paint the exteriors of 24 homes across Douglas and Sarpy Counties.
